Founded in Boise in 1976, how we operate reflects the personal philosophies and values of our founders.

Simply put, anyone can buy and sell boards and nails, windows and carpet. They are manufactured by a few and commonly distributed. To set yourself apart you must help your customers be successful in using the products you sell. You must truly understand the needs of your customers and be willing to do what it takes to meet those needs.

Service at this level, to be habitual, must be automatic. It must be part of the fabric of your company. Service must be in your soul.

Our founders understood this. They sought to teach and train Franklin people to innovate, to experiment, and to reach for new ways to help customers succeed. In so doing, they began to set FBS apart from its peers. Since 1976, we have been striving to get better, and to live up to the reputation we have earned over the years.
